Grilled Beef Tostadas
INGREDIENTS
- 1 beef Strip Steak Boneless
- 1-1/4 cups HERDEZ Casera salsa
- 4 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup thinly sliced iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup crumbled cheese
- 1/4 cup diced red onion

INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove steak; discard marinade. Place steak on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 12 to 14 minutes for medium rare (62°C) to medium (71°C) doneness, turning occasionally.
- Place remaining marinade in small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce consistency, stirring occasionally.
- Cut steak into serving-size pieces. Serve with sauce.
- Place beef steak and 1/2 cup Herdez Casera Salsa in a food-safe plastic bag; turn steak to coat. Close the bag securely and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on a grid over medium, ash covered coals. Grill, covered, 7 to 10 minutes for medium rare (60°C) to medium (70°C) doneness, turning occasionally.
- Remove; let stand for 5 minutes. Cut steaks lengthwise in thirds, then crosswise into 1 cm. thick pieces.
- Spread each tortilla with 1/4 cup refried beans. Top with lettuce, beef and remaining 3/4 cup salsa. Sprinkle it with cheese and onion… And enjoy!
