Glazed U.S. Beef Short Ribs

With only a few ingredients, this simple meal is absolutely delicious!

INGREDIENTS

Short ribs

23 Kg U.S. bone-in Short Ribs

15 g salt

8 g freshly grounded black pepper

20 g dried coriander powder

5 g anise powder

7 g paprika

5 g garlic powder

5 g ginger powder

Glaze

60 g honey

100 g brown sugar

50 ml apple vinegar

150 g chopped tomatoes, canned

15 ml Worcestershire sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix all the spices in a bowl.
  2. Rub the U.S bone-in short ribs with the spice mix. Set aside at room temperature for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 120°C (or 250°F)
  4. Cook the ribs for 3 ½ hours.
  5. Remove the ribs from the oven, brush with the glaze and cook for another 30 minutes.

Glaze

  • Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook on medium to low heat until thickened.

 

Serve this sticky and tender U.S. short rib rack with corn on the cob and a country style potato salad!
