If you like Philly Cheesesteak, then you’re going to love devouring these! These Philly cheesesteak stuffed peppers have all the good things you love about the classic sandwich but using peppers as our serving vessel instead of bread. It is an easy and quick meal that will please all your guests.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PHILLY CHEESESTEAK STUFFED PEPPERS
- Preheat the oven to 400º. Season the cleaned peppers with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish. Then, bake the peppers for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, let’s prepare the cheesesteak filling. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and mushrooms and sauté them for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the steak and season it. Add the meat to the skillet and cook it for 3 minutes.
- Place one provolone slice inside each pepper half, and after that, fill each one with the steak mixture.
- Top with another slice of cheese and broil the peppers for 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley and serve them.
